Image dump part 5 - A bunch of randomness

So here are a few different models I have laying around in various states of done-ness.
A simple city. I tried to make it as basic as possible for use as a low poly 'background' for other models.

Based on the Halo games, this is the prep and drop room for ODST's. Racks for guns, a holographic briefing table and of course the pods.

VTOL based on a slimmed down Osprey. Plus bonus helicopter version. It's lacking a tail rotor but still flies because of... space magic?

Space station/fighter outpost I made for a comic which I may or may not finish one day if I ever actually write a story.

I'm thinking I use too much yellow?

Another day, another fighter. Yellow and green this time, because I was thinking about Loki from the Marvel universe. The wings, thrusters and cannons all rotate around a common axis.

Landed and atmospheric flight config.

Rear. Note the small additional thrusters on the wing tips. They allow sudden and unexpected changes of course.

Exo atmospheric flight. the wings can rotate to fire the thrusters in different directions.

Ground attack and hover mode in atmosphere. Dialling back the main thrusters to match the wing tips means the thrust can be balanced allowing the craft to hover in place

Unarmed cheap runabout variant. Not recommended for in atmosphere flight.

Simple fighter variant without the ground attack capability and less manoeuvrable.

A small break from spaceships.

I was going to make a shipping container, got bored and turned it into a spaceship, which somehow then became a giant quad deck steam powered train. 103,000 edges later and my laptop is about ready to melt. I rendered it, while standing anxiously by with a fire extinguisher.

It has all the necessary spaces for a full interior, but if I ever do it, it'll have to be a separate file.

Engine car, passenger car, cargo car.

Image dump part 4 - I love starfighters

This is only a tiny proportion of the fighters I've made, the rest will come soonish.

Built after playing Destiny.

Modular fighters that can be customized to fit whatever mission you need.

Cargo carriers in various liveries and a highly customized version owned by a notorious bounty hunter.

Fighters based on the weapons/characters from the anime Sword Art Online.

Image dump part 3 - and it was all yellow

In the future, everything non military is owned by JCB.

The Aztec Luxury Interstellar Resort.
Rendered with Kerkythea

A Narwhal-Class gas prospector used for cruising around gas giants.

This thing eats asteroids like you for breakfast. Literally.

Image dump part 2 - The Trekening

Some of the Trek style ships I've made.
The USS Amazon.

I don't really know anything about Star Trek in all honesty, so I'm not gonna try and make up stats.

Assuming it's not dirt on my screen, that tiny dot is a person for scale.

Parallel universe fight!

USS Everest. Based on the new trek films where everything is chrome.

Image dump part 1

Time for the image dump to begin!

A mysterious alien artefact discovered in orbit within Jupiter's rings. Its purpose remains unknown.

The Patented Modular Dropship system. Build your dream machine from only JD$150,000!

A fleet of ships based on The Covenant from the Halo universe.

Lets kick things off

This is my new blog where I'm going to post all the starships I make. I use Sketchup to make the models and occasionally use Kerkythea to render them. I also occasionally upload the models to the 3d warehouse if you wanna grab them for yourself. The first few posts will likely be uploading the backlog of models I have, then I'll start to post them as I make them. Enjoy!
